Vincent Van Gogh’s universe, re-imagined by U1M Studio is not animated but “painted” with computer vision utilizing his fluid dynamics; signature themes of movement and light. Likewise, the music algorithm network is trained to apply the ‘piano notation’ of Claude Debussy; longer note durations, less uniform usage of degrees, within the composition. “Synthetic Spirit” is an immersive series bringing digital souls of master artists back to life through AI and ML technology powered by IBM Turkey.

“Synthetic Spirit” utilizes an artificial system based on a Deep Neural Network that creates digital art of high perception. The system uses neural representations to separate and recombine content and style of arbitrary images, providing a neural algorithm for the creation of artistic images resembling those of master painters.
The learning system itself is built on IBM servers and Nvidia Tesla V100 GPU processing. During the learning process, Machine Learning generates millions of iterations and a huge amount of data, as it tunes over 200 million parameters within the neural networks.
